The Profitability for Language Experts workshop is designed for translators and editors who want to better understand the financial side of their work. It covers key topics such as calculating business costs, forecasting income, and assessing the profitability of different projects. You’ll leave with practical tips for managing your translation business more effectively, ensuring that your work remains financially sustainable without overextending yourself.
Whether you’re new to the field or looking to refine your approach, this workshop offers straightforward advice for improving the profitability of your work.
The workshop is facilitated by Mili Viita and Tiina Kinnunen, who are members of Kääntäjämestarit ry. Mili specialises in transcreation and marketing and has over 20 years of experience in running her own business. Tiina is a subtitler and 30-year veteran of the translation business. Together, they’ve run this workshop for university students as part of the Kääntäjämestari university tour.

The workshop is run by NEaT member Tiina Kinnunen, who has over 30 years of experience in the translation business. She has presented this workshop in international conferences.
