NEaT addressed the needs of Finnish communication professionals on 18 August 2015 at an event arranged by the International Communication Group of ProCom ry, the largest communication professionals’ network in Finland.
Many communicators employed by international companies operating in Finland work with translators, editors, revisers and other language professionals to produce texts for reports, press releases, web pages, brochures and many other materials. In order to make the process smoother and more reliable, NEaT board members Julie Uusinarkaus and Virve Juhola presented an overview of the role of external language professionals and suggested tips to communications professionals wanting to improve the service process.
Erik Miller, chairman of the association representing translation agencies in Finland SKTOL also presented his organization and offered practical advice on how to get the most out of working with service providers in the language industry.
ProCom is the largest network for communication professionals in Finland, promoting the professional development of its members and consolidating the status of communications as a profession. It is a registered association with 2700 members, including communication officers, managers, directors, entrepreneurs, consultants and students. Founded in 1978, ProCom ry. is the oldest association of its field in Europe.
