Our Christmas party was held on 3 December 2015 in Helsinki.
We presented our organization to many groups this year. NEaT was presented by board members Julie Uusinarkaus and Virve Juhola to communication professionals at ProCom ry’s International Communications Group on 18 August 2015.
NEaT was presented among SKTL, KAJ and other organizations at International Translation Day on 2 October in Turku. And importantly, NEaT was presented at the METMeeting (METM15) conference in Coimbra, Portugal, from 29 to 31 October 2015. Stephen Stalter talked about oral expression coaching; Julie Uusinarkaus and Virve Juhola presented the origins of NEaT for a another program thread.
Arranged together with KAJ, the Noun Stacking Course for Professional Editors and Translators took place on 7 September from 4 to 7 pm at KAJ offices in Pasila. For KAJ and NEaT members only, with NEaT member Stephen Stalter.
NEaT and Finnbrit co-hosted an English Today seminar at Finnbrit premises on 18 September.
Demanding Quality was a NEaT panel discussion held at Arkadia International Bookshop on 22 October 2015.
NEaT’s Annual General Meeting 2015 was held on Tuesday 21 April at the ‘kabinetti’ space of Pub Leijuva Lahna on Eerikinkatu, Helsinki. After the AGM, we joined their weekly pub quiz in Finnish and did our own quiz in English.
