Jack (irritably): “… You can never stick to the point in any conversation!”
Algy (slowly): “No: it always hurts me.”

Oscar Wilde, The Importance of Being Earnest

Whether punctuation makes you feel like this or it’s one of your favourite things, join the debate. With presenters born in the US and UK who work with English in a range of roles, we will cover how and when to use these different types of punctuation and the impacts they have.

The presenters are NEaT members Rebecca von Bonsdorff (English teacher and teacher trainer), Vanessa Fuller (English instructor and revisor), and Kate Sotejeff-Wilson (translator and editor).

The event is free and open to all.
